Have you always wanted to volunteer or teach others? Well, here is your chance! Northville Senior Services is looking to expand their programs but need your help! The following Social Groups are being formed and need a volunteer to organize the groups.

What's in our bag? - This volunteer would be able to assist others in various crafts, knitting/crocheting, etc. or just have a love for crafts and want to organize a group full of other craft lovers. They meet once per month to enjoy crafting and socializing.

Northville Seniors Lunch Crew - Do you love to eat, try new restaurants and meet new people? Volunteer to organize this group once a month by choosing a place to eat and calling the restaurant for reservations.

Busy Hands, Warm Hearts - Volunteer to lead this group in making items for newborns, vets, dresses for Africa or any other charity the group wished to help.

Woodworking - If you have skills in woodworking and want to share your ideas or just get together with others who share your love for woodworking, volunteer to lead this group

Beginner Card & Game Leaders - Our staff is always asked if there is someone that can teach them the card & board games that we offer. If you are skilled in one of the following games and are patient with those that are just starting out, please come see us and set up a date to teach others how to play! We need Euchre, Pinochle & Mah Jongg.

Donate Corner

Baby Yarn - Our Knitters & Crocheters are looking for donations of Baby Yarn to make caps for newborns. The caps will be donated to local hospitals and are available to the newborns without charge. Please give if you can. Blue, yellow, green and pink are preferred colors, thank you.

Medical Equipment - The Northville Senior Services accepts gently used or new medical equipment. Please call 248-305-2851 before dropping any equipment off to ensure we are accepting your type of equipment at that time. We will no longer accept portable toilet seats, thank you. Pre-approved donations can be dropped off to the Northville Senior Services desk, M-F 10am - 4pm.

NV Community Foundation - Donate gifts during the holiday season to senior citizens in assisted living facilities. See the list on page 17 for gifts needed. Donation boxes will be located in the NCC Living Room starting November 1 thru December 8.
